Bird-Eye Layout
The design features homes arranged in pairs, providing diverse sizes for families while optimizing resources with semi-detached structures. This layout fosters efficiency and community, blending traditional African hut aesthetics with practical arrangements that balance private and shared spaces, promoting harmonious living for diverse household needs.
Prototypes
Prototypes embrace sustainability through rammed earth construction and green walls crafted from recycled tires. These elements reduce environmental impact while showcasing a blend of modern innovation and cultural heritage. Each unit highlights the potential of local materials to create durable, eco-friendly homes that reflect the community's identity.
Shared Spaces
Integrated green and brown spaces enhance the connection between families and nature. Features like recycled tire green walls and water-harvesting roofs contribute to a self-sustaining system, while communal areas provide opportunities for interaction, fostering a sense of belonging and environmental stewardship within the housing cluster.
